The Terraces
Work has begun to install a series of terraces on the lower slopes of the garden, which will help to make better use of the space available in that area. Progress will surely be slow, as all "earthworks" at LCO are done by hand.
Regional botanical experts Reinaldo Aguilar and Catherine V. Bainbridge own and manage Los Charcos de Osa. LCO is a private forest reserve and native plants garden located on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica, in Central America.
We manage an image library of 30,000 + high resolution digital native plant images, with an emphasis on those species which occur on the Osa Peninsula. We also carry a lesser number of images depicting habitats, landscapes, regional wildlife and local people.
